What Kids Learn about coding at our Hybrid Coding and Swimming Summer Camp

Scratch Programming

Kids begin with Scratch, a visual programming language designed for young learners. Students create interactive games, animations, and stories while learning core coding concepts like loops, conditionals, variables, and events. Scratch is ideal for beginners and helps kids build confidence before moving on to text-based programming.

Robotics & Engineering

Students explore robotics and engineering concepts through hands-on building and problem-solving challenges. They learn how code controls real-world actions, experiment with sensors and movement, and work collaboratively to design and improve their projects. This reinforces logical thinking and shows how programming applies beyond the screen.

Python & Web Development

Older or more advanced students are introduced to text-based programming such as Python and beginner web development concepts. Kids learn how real programming languages work, write simple scripts, and understand the foundations behind websites and software. Instruction is paced so students are challenged without feeling overwhelmed.
