Have you signed up for Panda Programmer’s 2024 Summer Camp yet? We are thrilled to be offering our camp this year at the Pathways Baptist Church in Gaithersburg. The address is 200 W Diamond Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20877.

Similar to our previous years’ camps, this year’s camp will be for students from grades 1 through 8. Our time-tested curriculum is based on the Scratch platform. Advanced students may study Python, robotics, and JavaScript.

Parents are asking this question lately, “How to teach Coding to Kids?”.

Because coding for kids is something you have to know about.

You cannot question this. So many careers depend on technology and coding!

And… Just when you start getting accustomed to the existing technology, something new comes along.

Today’s kids have a better knack for technology than their parents.

All of these things indicate one thing.

It’s time to teach these kids and get them acquainted with the whole making of all things technology.

The one most important word is ‘Coding’.

Not just coding, coding for kids.

The first question that pops up in our head when we think of coding for kids, is, “How to introduce coding to kids?”

As difficult as it may seem, teaching kids coding is actually rather easy.

The big secret about teaching coding to kids is to teach programming as a creative activity for any kid to engage.

When has any child learned anything this way!

Data processing algorithms are complicated and might not appeal to kids.

However, programming music, designing games, or websites, writing simple code in software, definitely intrigues kids!

So, if your child would like to learn coding and have a great week (or weeks) at Panda Summer Camp, be sure to sign up as soon as possible. Early bird rates are $399 for one week of full-day camp, and $249 for one week of half-day camp.

Maryland Summer Camps

Maryland summer camps are thriving in 2021. Tennis camps, arts camps, and especially tech camps are getting kids out of the house, around their peers, and enjoying life again!

Summer Camp Coding

Summer camp coding is a fun and educational experience for many children in grades 1 through 8. Initially such kids are drawn to coding from their love of video games. But at Panda Programmer, the beauty and elegance of computer science quickly wins them over. The students see the rewards first hand, of writing clean, well-don code.

Summer Day Camp

Summer day camp is a great way to allow children to experiment with new hobbies and ideas. At Panda Programmer, we welcome both beginning programmers and advanced programmers. Our experienced teachers guide students and allow them to proceed at their own pace. That way students are neither overwhelmed, nor are they bored!
